70s // The Vintage Festival Way

Dress - Vintage, Birkenstocks - Cloggs Footwear*, Watch - Vivienne Westwood via Watch Shop*, Long double necklace - Topshop, Short necklace - Primark, Bracelet - Vintage.

I won't have been the first person to tell you that this Spring/Summer is all about 70s vibes, so I thought I'd do a few posts about how I wear the trend. I'm not massively into adorning myself in a million bright prints and fifty different types of tassel, nor do I fancy sweating it out in head to toe faux suede - whilst some people can carry these looks off with incredible sass and flair, it is a step too far out of my comfort zone!

So whilst this outfit is quite a statement boho look, I have stuck to a monochrome colour palette with a dash of gold on the accessories front. This vintage dress with gorgeous embroidery would make a great alternative to the shorts/tee shirt festival look and wouldn't look out of place at Coachella. There are also some great alternatives on the high street at the moment if you are after something similar. Mess up your hair, throw on a hat and a pair of Birkenstocks and some gold jewellery and you're ready to go! I really love layered necklaces at the moment so this Topshop one is right up my street, and the circle shape mirrors that of the face of my Vivienne Westwood Maida watch which fits the vintage vibe perfectly.

  2. This dress is stunning, I'm just incredibly sad that I won't be able to copy and buy it too haha. You've found a beautiful one off there and I'm incredibly jealous :)
