Buy Now, Wear All Year!

I often feel like buying clothes for summer is a little bittersweet - much as I love strappy dresses and sandals, as a resident of the UK I have to resign myself to the fact there is every possibility I will get very little wear out of each item. I might add, this still doesn't stop me buying, but it has lead recently to a few more sensible choices which I can wear all year round. I feel like I've cracked a bit of a formula for clothes that will be just as great now as they will in July and even October, so I've put a little wishlist together from a couple of my favourite websites for basics - Asos and Pull & Bear...

THE BOYFRIEND JEAN

Ahh if it isn't the ultimate staple in effortless cool.
Throw on with...
Spring:  ...A Breton tee & Birkenstocks
Summer:  ...A cami top & strappy heels
A/W: ...A slouchy khaki knit jumper & cowboy boots

THE WHITE STATEMENT SWEATER

The statement sweater stays, with a fresh twist in white
Style up with...
Spring: ...Blue jeans & colour pop accessories
Summer: ...Shorts by tying round your waist ready for impromptu evenings on the beach, chilly festival nights & unpredictable British weather.
A/W: ...Black ripped jeans & a chunky knit scarf

THE T SHIRT DRESS

I have the most ridiculous obsession with t shirt dresses. So, so versatile. So, so comfortable!
Just add...
Spring: ...A duster coat & Over the knee boots
Summer: ...Big boho jewellery & wedge heels
A/W: ...Thick knit tights, wool coat/snorkel parka & mittens!

THE COWBOY BOOT
1 / 2 / 3 / 4

I have never been a fan of the cowboy style boot...until this season. A modern 70s twist give the new cowboy boot major wearability.
Pair up with...
Spring: ...A white t shirt & a flared trouser
Summer: ...A summer dress (Anything blue denim will look bang on trend)
A/W: ...Your much loved skinny jeans & a chunky knit cardi

What are your favourite year round, fail safe buys?
