What Would Demarchelier Do?

Tee shirt - Five Pound Tee*, Shorts - New Look* (similar here), Cardigan - Divided @ H&M, Bag - Gap, Trainers - Nike (similar here)

Yesterday was spent driving around the Island in the search for sunshine! We ventured out pretty far to St Catherine's lighthouse as I realised I haven't been here since I was too teeny to remember. It was so beautiful and we managed to catch a few sun rays as we walked along the cliff. Everything has been so crazy at work at the moment that I felt like I really needed to get out in the fresh air and go somewhere different to relax.

So this isn't the most fashion-y outfit post but I thought I'd share because it's pretty much been a go to look for me since march - (no, not the pom pom shorts!) wearing a simple comfy monochrome outfit and adding colour pop accessories like my orange bag and Nike trainers. When you don't have time to faff and want to be comfy it's the ideal combo.

The tee shirt is a snatch at £5 from Five Pound Tee, and I couldn't resist the sassy Patrick Demarchelier reference (particularly as it reminds me of The Devil Wears Prada and who doesn't love that film??). I am amazed at the quality of these and can confirm they wash well too. The cardigan I picked up when I was in London with work as there was a little Divided H&M popup round the corner from where we were working which made for all too convenient lunch break shopping! I love the unusual length and think this will be a great summer through to autumn layering piece.

Which local spots have you been escaping to this summer? And what is your comfy go to outfit of choice?
