Monthly Round Up: February

Well, February was a pretty big month for me all in all. I really wanted to do some kind of overview on here so I think I'm going to begin a monthly round up-style post.

  • It was the month that Lord Sugar Tweeted me. Yup, February began with actual Lord Sugar off the telly reading my blog post about Tropic Skincare and sharing with his followers (for those that don't know he owns part of the brand). This was honestly the weirdest thing ever! My mum was convinced there was a 'fake Lord Sugar' out there trying to wind me up! I will be posting how I've been getting on with the skincare in a review on here shortly so keep 'em peeled if you're a Tropic lover or interested to know more about the brand.
  • A short way into February I headed up to London for a Blog Event with Very. I used to attend Blog Events all the time but the last couple of years have been really tricky with trying to get time off work so it was really strange to be in that environment again and so lovely to see some familiar faces.
  • Okay so a pretty big one now - this is the month I moved from England to Germany. So far it has been such an adventure and I have enjoyed it so much more than I had even anticipated. It's been stressful and scary but it's also been incredibly freeing. I have already had so many amazing experiences - skiing in the Black Forest, climbing, going to a concert - and it's only been 3 weeks!
  • So this next one has been a little more challenging. I moved to Germany with virtually no German language skills so this month has also been about trying to gain as much knowledge of German as possible. I should probably add that my situation is a little different as my boyfriend is German and therefore fluent, which means I have a lot of help if I get stuck and the opportunity to talk the language as much as I would like. I'm studying in my own time and trying to take small steps with practising the language - paying for the food shop, ordering drinks, going for coffee alone, clothes shopping alone, etc.
Plans for the month ahead...

February has been huge so I think March will be comparitively more laid back, though I am keeping busy with other projects and I'm working on my Youtube Channel quite a lot. I'm also hoping to book some travels for April as I will be back in the UK to see my family, so I think Paul and I are going to try to tie this in with a sunny holiday (fingers crossed!).

I hope you all had a great February,
Ella x
